We are sorry to report that from 31
st August 2010 we will be terminating our subscription to OneSearch, the federated search engine that enables users to search all of the Library's resources simultaneously and link to the full-text articles. Although this is a popular resource, it is a very expensive one and due to the fact that the library has to make a cut in spending of 15% over three years, this is one of the sacrifices that we are having to make.
However we have been able to go some way towards alleviating this loss by introducing a brand new application called ‘CustomLinks’ available on all of our databases on EBSCO. This enables full-text access to 90% of our journals from your searches on EBSCO and will be fully operational in early September.
Don’t forget you can still search all of our EBSCO databases simultaneously - http://search.ebscohost.com/athens.asp the key difference being that you now have to search our catalogue – Tapcat separately - http://tavi.koha-ptfs.eu/
